The security guard in the van who went to the ATM with the money was shot dead and eight lakh rupees were stolen from the van. The incident happened near the Jagatpur flyover in Delhi at around 5pm on Tuesday. 55-year-old Jai Singh, who worked as a security guard in the van, died. He was shot and was immediately hospitalized, but his life could not be saved.
The attack occurred when the van stopped to fill the ICICI Bank ATM. The attacker came from behind the van and shot Jai Singh. The attack took place at 4.50pm when the van stopped to refill the ATM. Deputy Commissioner Sagar Singh Kalsi explained that the attacker who came from behind shot the guard and stole the money. The police registered a case and started the investigation. An attempt is being made to identify the attacker by examining the video surveillance cameras in the area.
