Calvados: a business manager sprinkles himself with gasoline to end a strike

This Wednesday morning, the 56-year-old boss of a transport company forced the passage of a roundabout held by strikers from his company. According to a source familiar with the matter at CNEWS, two employees, aged 38 and 63, were slightly injured in the maneuver.

An independent pension reform strike

After managing to enter his company, the entrepreneur returned on foot to the roundabout. He then doused himself in gasoline, threatening the strikers to set themselves on fire if they did not stop their protest movement. The 50-year-old was overpowered by two of his employees.

Arrested and taken into custody, the individual is unknown to the police. According to the local newspaper The Pays d’Augethe Lisieux prosecutor’s office indicated that the strike which was taking place in front of the company had no connection with the national strike against the pension reform.
