The government of Rome is calling on all domestic and foreign tourists to leave the quarantine zones in northern Italy because of the corona virus.
Strict precautions
All other tourists in Italy are advised to follow the precautions taken by the Italian health authorities. The strict precautionary measures are currently being discussed, and the affected regions in northern Italy have asked to be interviewed by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte.
15 Italian areas affected

Economically strong Lombardy and 14 other areas are largely cordoned off, including the economic metropolis of Milan and the tourist magnet Venice.

The entry and exit bans hit more than 16 million people in the middle of the country.
No funerals and safety margin
Shopping centers should only be open from Monday to Friday. Civil and religious ceremonies are suspended. The measure also applies to mourning ceremonies. Cafes and restaurants remain open, but the owners must ensure that customers keep a distance of at least one meter from each other.
