Cafés and bars in Asse also close at 11 pm

The mayor of Asse, Koen Van Elsen (CD&V), issues a police decree requiring all cafes and bars to close at 11 pm. Last week, the Brussels-Capital Region and Vilvoorde also introduced this measure

“The measures must limit the number of corona infections,” says mayor Van Elsen. ‘The governor had previously asked the mayors in the periphery of this because it was feared that many Brussels catering customers would relocate to the periphery.’

The police decision will take effect on Tuesday and will remain in force until October 20.
