The Democratic Party, which promised the so-called “Chae Sang-byeong Special Prosecutor Act” within the term of the 21st National Assembly, has again put pressure on the People’s Power Party.

They want a plenary session to be held on May 2 and for the ruling and opposition parties to reach an agreement, which appears to mean they will override President Yoon Seok-yeol’s veto in advance by giving it a lot.

After Rep. Ahn Cheol-soo, Rep. Kyung-tae Cho also supports the introduction of a special prosecutor, and climate change is becoming evident within the People’s Power Party.

The Democratic Party held a press conference attended by 116 active members and promised again to pass the ‘Special Prosecutor Chae Sang-byeong Act’ in this National Assembly.

In the ‘Act of the Special Prosecutor Chae Sang-byeong’, which was submitted to the plenary session of the National Assembly through an expedited agenda, contents reveal the circumstances of the death of a corporal who died when he was looking for someone who was lost. and suspicions of outside pressure from the Office of the President and others about the Marine Corps Investigative Team’s investigation.

The Democratic Party said, “This is the last chance given to the Yoon Seok-yeol regime and the People’s Power Party,” and stressed to hold a plenary session on May 2 and “handle an agreement between the ruling parties and the opposition. .”

Although the Democratic Party, which has more than a majority of seats in the National Assembly, can pass the bill in the plenary session, it seems that it intends to prevent the veto President Yoon Seok-yeol in advance by giving it a lot.

However, since a bill issued by the President requires the approval of more than two-thirds of the members present, it is difficult to send it back if the members of the People’s Power Party do not cooperate .
