The African Football Confederation (CAF) Super Cup match between Egypt’s Al Ahly and Berkane Sports Renaissance, in Doha, Qatar, will take place in the first half of 2021.
“Faced with the difficulty of reaching an agreement with the Qatar Football Federation (QFA) for the organization of the 2019-2020 Super Cup, the CAF Executive Committee has decided that the Super Cup will take place in the first half of 2021”, indicated a press release from CAF published at the end of the meeting of its Executive Committee, Thursday in Cairo.
Remember that the Egyptian club Al Ahly won its 9th Champions League title in Cairo at the expense of his compatriot Zamalek (2-1), while the Renaissance Sportive de Berkane won the Confederation Cup in s ‘Imposing in the final in Rabat against the Egyptian club Pyramids (1-0).
On the other hand and on a proposal from the Senegalese Football Federation, the Executive Committee approved the holding of the CAN of Beach Soccer- (Senegal 2020) from May 23 to 29, 2021.
The Committee also ratified the regulations for the Women’s Champions League which will be organized annually from 2021 with the participation of the champion clubs of the last national league of each association. The qualifiers for this new African competition will be organized in the six (6) zones of CAF.
