In our last Saturday edition, we gave an account of the centenary of the Association of Argentine Cooperatives (ACA), born in February 1922 by the impulse of cooperative entities, among which were those of Oliva, Hernando and Leones.

The activity of the centenary was concentrated in Pergamino and in addition to the central act, the ACAmpo Abierto conference was held, where the results of seeds and supplies produced by ACA were shown.

On the other hand, it is important to point out that in this sample, there was participation of directors, producers and the person in charge of the Agro-inputs area of the Arroyo Cabral Cooperative.

Through a statement, they expressed that “the objective was to bring together all the cooperatives and service centers throughout the country to show what is being done in terms of agricultural technology, both in terms of seed advances and in phytosanitary treatments and fertilization.”

And they added: “This year the focus was on digital agriculture and digital tools for the agricultural producer.”

INTA and Senasa – New authorities

?At the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, the national authorities appointed Mariano Garmendia and Nacira Belén Muñoz -president and vice-president of INTA, respectively. During the act, the new Senasa authorities, Diana Guillén and Rodolfo Acerbi, were also inaugurated.

“A new post-Covid stage is beginning, with new demands that require greater efficiency in the chains,” Minister Julián Domínguez remarked during the event and underlined: “In this, INTA and Senasa are key to addressing global barriers to production systems. ”.

“These are complex times for our country. The weather complicates us and we are here to accompany the producers. From the Ministry we work to give an intelligent response to the demands of Argentina and the world”, he concluded.
