Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine may abolish daylight saving time, which should take place on March 28.
Such a statement in the comments to the agency “Interfax-Ukraine” made the people’s deputy from “Servants of the people” Roxolana Pidlasa… She explained that the government can revoke decree No. 509 of May 13, 1996 on the procedure for calculating time.
“There is a government decree No. 509 of 1996 on the procedure for calculating time. It is the basis for moving the clock hands. Theoretically, the Cabinet of Ministers can cancel it if there is a political will,” Pidlasa said.
According to her, the authors of the bill, which on March 19 failed to be adopted in The Verkhovna Rada, intend to offer such an option.
The People’s Deputy added that the finalization of the document will take two weeks, and therefore its consideration will take place after March 28.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, in the Verkhovna Rada on March 19 not enough votes to support the second reading of the bill on the abolition of the transfer of clocks to summer and winter time.
As a reminder, the clock will be switched to summer time in 2021 in Ukraine on the night of March 27-28 at 03:00. The hands of the clock need to be translated one hour ahead.
