BUSINESS ANALYST – POINT OF SALES

Department: Global Technology – Retail Systems

Lieu : Laval, Quebec

Type of employment : Permanent, Full-time

Do you have exceptional skills in assessing business needs? Are you passionate about collecting, defining, analyzing and validating data requirements and business rules for selected point of sale systems? Does the convenience store and fuel operations point-of-sale systems industry speak to you?

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Point of Sale Systems Manager, within our Global IT team, the Business Analyst will develop a strong understanding of the business and contribute to the development and deployment of strategies, by contributing ideas and perspectives to the organization and the management team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Here are some ways you can improve travel:

  • With functional and operational knowledge of NCR Radiant and Bulloch point-of-sale systems, lead the assessment of business requirements and align point-of-sale tools with business needs and functional processes.

  • Liaise with suppliers for efficient implementation of new software and projects.

  • Provide retail system support to users and stakeholders: testing, training, bug fixes, recommendations for system improvements, expert office automation advice, query development, etc.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Retail Systems Manager to identify key areas for process improvement and implement tools that will align with the vision for standardizing key retail systems processes in North America.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

We want you to join our team! Here is what we are looking for:

  • College or university diploma in computer science, information systems and / or equivalent professional experience.

  • Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a large organization.

  • Experience in the retail industry is an asset.

  • Understanding of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, key points of the architecture and the overall structure.

  • Possesses an analytical mind – the ability to formulate and understand business questions, situations or problems by breaking them down into smaller parts and analyzing them. Interpret data, draw conclusions and provide targeted advice.

  • Strong communication skills – aims to exceed support requirements and expectations.

  • Bilingual – English and French, spoken and written.
