Darmstadt (ots) – Unknown perpetrators stole money from a steel cupboard from the university’s offices on Hochschulstrasse. In a previously unknown manner, the criminals had gained access to the building and entered the offices. Once there, they forcibly broke into a steel cabinet and stole a wallet with money. On Saturday (March 13th) around 5:30 p.m., traces of the perpetrators were discovered and the police informed. The has initiated the investigation into the particularly serious theft and is looking for witnesses with relevant information. According to initial findings, the period of the crime should go back to Monday (March 8th). Anyone who was able to observe suspicious persons in the vicinity of the crime scene during the specified period of the crime is asked to contact the Darmstadt criminal investigation agency (K21 / 22) (phone number 06151/9690).
