DThe German Football League (DFL) has the key financial figures of all 36 professional clubs from the Bundesliga and the Second Bundesliga for the corona-affected Saison 2020/21 released. The largest after-tax losses came from the German elite league Hertha BSC (77.9 million euros) and Borussia Dortmund (72.8 million euros).
Overall, 15 of the 18 clubs playing in the Bundesliga next season have a negative result. Only SC Freiburg (9.8 million euros), RB Leipzig (3.7 million euros) and record champions FC Bayern (2.3 million euros) achieved a positive result.
At Bayer Leverkusen, the losses (13.7 million euros) are offset by Bayer AG, at VfL Wolfsburg (17.8 million euros) by VW. At TSG Hoffenheim, patron Dietmar Hopp compensates for the minus (23.9 million). For these clubs there is an exception regarding 50+1.
The DFL also published how much money each club paid for player agents. Striking: Bayern did not spend the most money on consultants.
First in this category is Dortmund again, as in the previous season. BVB spent a total of 32.781 million on player agents in the 2020/21 season. Leipzig took second place with 25.853 million. Bayern followed closely behind (25.813 million euros).
