The Bundesliga Barometer from the Butting Group and SPORT BILD was surveyed for the 19th time under the direction of Professor Alfons Madeja from Nuremberg. On matchdays 33 and 34, 5,449 fans were asked how satisfied they were with their own club. The big surprise: Freiburg wins ahead of Leipzig, Union Berlin and Frankfurt. Only then do the industry leaders FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund come in fifth and sixth.
Above all, the Bayern bosses Oliver Kahn (52) and Hasan Salihamidzic (45) are punished. The management gets a grade of 2.81 from their fans. This is the fourth worst rating in this category in the entire survey – only the bosses of Hertha, Augsburg and Wolfsburg are seen even weaker by their fans. A year ago, Bavaria still shone here with a grade of 1.98. What a slap!
The bosses of VfL Bochum around club boss Ilja Kaenzig (48) received the best grade: grade 1.42. The leading crew of the overall winner Freiburg (1.45) ends up just behind. Survey boss Madeja: “The fans have a very good sense of who is making the most of their opportunities and who is acting with foresight. They don’t judge by titles, but by deeds.”

Freiburg’s fans give their team a grade of 1.17! The best value in the entire Bundesliga barometer before the self-rating of the Frankfurt fans (1.27) who carried their club to victory in the Europa League.
The fact that clubs like Freiburg, Union and Frankfurt are among the best in the fans’ overall rating is of great significance to Madeja: “It shows that money doesn’t make the fans happy, but that passion and a good overall experience in the stadium make for happy spectators.”
The fact that Bundesliga relegated Fürth also ends up at the bottom in the large fan survey is mainly due to the infrastructure with the small, old stadium (grade 2.94) in the middle of a residential area, what the traffic and parking situation (grade 3, 18) difficult. The worst individual grade of the evaluation receives the leadership of Hertha BSC. The fact that despite the rescue in the relegation, apart from manager Fredi Bobic (50), hardly anyone is left for the restart seems to correspond to the wishes of their own fans. They gave the board and management a grade of 4.15.
