JAKARTA – Lumps on the feet that are characterized by certain sensations can indicate high cholesterol . This condition is called xanthomas, where lumps of fat occur just under the skin.

According to Winchester Hospital, xanthomas can appear anywhere on the body but generally are on the feet. A number of sensations can be sign of these fatty clumps of cholesterol.

Reporting from Express, Tuesday (3/8) lumps under the skin are usually tender, itchy and painful.

“The size ranges from very small to three inches. Xanthomas can be cosmetically damaging,” explains the health agency.

However, in most cases, high cholesterol levels will not cause warning signs clear. This may be due to your age, weight or other conditions you have such as high blood pressure or diabetes .

You can lower high cholesterol levels with a healthy diet. High cholesterol is a condition when you have too much of a fatty substance called cholesterol in your blood so that it can clog your arteries and cause inflammation heart attack .
