Brussels –

Brussels Minister of Mobility Elke Van den Brandt (Groen) has filed a complaint with the police after several death threats appeared against her on the Facebook page “L’automobiliste en a marre”. Bruzz writes this and confirms her spokesman to Belga.

The threats appeared in the comments on a Facebook post in which a member of the group states that Van den Brandt wants to eliminate the car. “She doesn’t realize that a car can eliminate her”, “And we, we want to eliminate Elke” or “We’ll get the skin off that fat Menapian cow”: these are some of the threats being voiced. The comments contain a host of other aggressive expressions that allude to the internment of Van den Brandt or the doctrine and ideology she imposes.

The Brussels Mobility Minister does not take the threats lightly and therefore files a complaint with the police. She does not receive extra protection.
