Bruce Springsteen returns to Broadway starting June 26, vaccine required

Only vaccinated spectators will be allowed to attend the “Boss” show, the production said in a statement. Proof of both injections will be required for vaccines that require more than one.

The 71-year-old rocker from New Jersey had already performed 236 sold-out performances of this same format between October 2017 and December 2018, an intimate show during which he talks about his life, his work, and performs several songs. in acoustics to illustrate this journey.

The regular at giant concerts and packed stadiums has this time chosen the St James Theater, a hall with only around 1,700 seats, for this series whose tickets go on sale Thursday. The list includes, for the moment, thirty dates, until September 4th.

Few theaters have already reopened on Broadway, with the first major productions expected in September at best. The musical “Hadestown” will kick off on September 2nd.

In mid-May, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the large indoor theaters could now be filled to capacity, as long as all spectators were vaccinated.

They can also accommodate unvaccinated people, but maintaining a minimum distance and setting up two zones, one for vaccinated spectators, and one for the others.
