CELEBRITIES British producer Nigel Lythgoe (74) is again accused of sexual misconduct. Last week, Paula Abdul (60) sued him for assault and sexual harassment. Two more women have now filed a lawsuit against the makers of the programs ‘American Idol’ and ‘So You Think You Can Dance’.
The two women were contestants on the show ‘All American Girl’, a talent show produced by Lythgoe in 2003. According to the court documents, which were seen by the entertainment website ‘TMZ’, the women claim that the British producer showed up in their dressing rooms several times and groped their buttocks. The “All American Girl” contestants go on to say that Lythgoe took them to his Los Angeles home to celebrate the end of the show. The producer is also said to have made unwanted sexual advances there.
The new allegations come just days after Paula accused Abdul Lythgoe of assault and sexual harassment. The American singer claimed that the TV maker harassed her twice. The first incident is said to have occurred at the beginning of this century, when the two worked together on the program ‘American Idol’. Lythgoe allegedly pushed Abdul against a wall in the elevator, whereupon he grabbed her private parts and gave Abdul a French kiss. The singer then allegedly pushed him away.
The second incident, according to Abdul, took place in 2015 during the filming of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. Lythgoe allegedly forced himself on her during a business dinner at his home, after which she immediately left the house. Abdul left the reality show after two seasons. She has not worked with the British producer since.

In a statement to ‘TMZ’, the television producer denied Abdul’s allegations of sexual misconduct. The Briton called the American singer’s allegations “very insulting”. He also said he will fight the “terrible slander” with everything he has. Lythgoe has not yet responded to the accusations of the former candidates of ‘All American girl’.
