Bring Molotov Bombs, 2 Youths Arrested While Joining a Demo in Front of the DPR

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Two men were caught carrying bom molotov and tear gas protector at Palmerah Station, Jakarta, Friday (14/8/2020) afternoon.

West Jakarta Metro Police Reskrim Kasat Kompol Teuku Arsya confirmed the arrest.

According to him, the two men were about to join a demonstration in front of the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta.

“It’s true, it’s still being explored,” said Arsya when confirmed Kompas.com, Friday.

One person with the initials D (27) resides in Bekasi and is a member of a mass organization.

Another person with the initials R (23) from East Jakarta.

“The evidence that was secured from the two men was in the form of Molotov cocktails and tear gas protective equipment as well as several book stickers,” said Arsya.

The two suspects are currently being detained at the West Jakarta Metro Police for further investigation.
