Former Egypt national team player Ahmed Hassan said that the solutions of Swiss coach Rene Fyler, Al-Ahly coach, were “weak”, pointing out that the red team missed the “character” in front of Zamalek.

Zamalek scored a 3-1 victory over Al-Ahly in the match that brought them together at Cairo Stadium in the 21st round of the Egyptian Premier League.

During radio statements for the “Falcon Stadium” program, the dean said: “Al-Ahly has been winning in some matches with the personality of its players on the field, and the team is currently missing a true leader.”

He added, “Zamalek has distinguished players who can withstand pressure, such as Ferjani Sassi, Tariq Hamed, Youssef Obama and other players.”

He continued: “Fyler’s solutions were few and weak, so he resorted to playing with three in midfield, and changed the way Al-Ahly played to 4-3-3, and began with Afsha and Junior Ajay.”

And he continued: “Qafsha is not good at playing on both sides, which made the player lose his danger, and the trio Hamdi Fathi, Diang and Al-Sulayyah were not used, offensively or in defense.”

And he added: “Ahmed Fathy should have participated in the main, especially as he is a player with great experience, and Walid Suleiman had to be pushed from the beginning of the match, in order to give a moral boost to players who lack experience and the character of Al-Ahly club.”

He continued: “Zamalek was better equipped from Al-Ahly and much better, so Walid Suleiman and Ahmed Fathi should have participated from the start of the match, because they were the owners of experience, the team was missing the leader player, the red team was mainly in need of a strong personality inside the stadium.”
