HAS In the disastrous accident that took place on the highway Edirne direction Sadabat Viaduct around 17.30, the Ukrainian license plate luxury jeep used by a foreign national woman, whose identity was not yet known, suddenly stopped in the right lane. Meanwhile, Kutay Ecevit, the motorcycle rider with plate 05 ABE 573, maneuvered to avoid hitting the jeep. Despite Ecevit’s best efforts, the motorcycle hit the rear left corner of the jeep and was thrown away. After the accident, Kutay Ecevit (26), who fell off the motorcycle, and Elif Meltem Narman (32), who was sitting behind him, were hit by a 34 LC 3795 plate car coming from the left lane. Ecevit and Narman died at the scene.
In the catastrophic accident, it was learned that Kutay Ecevit and Elif Meltem Narman were going to get married on August 30 and set out to distribute wedding invitations. The wedding invitations scattered around their lifeless bodies remained of the couple who lost their lives 16 days before their wedding.
Accident Following on-site inspections, the bodies of Ecevit and Narman couple were taken to the Morgue of Kağıthane State Hospital. Other involved in the accident vehicle drivers were taken to the police station to take their statements.

After the accident, one lane on TEM Highway for approximately 1.5 hours traffic While flowing, backward traffic density occurred. The traffic, which came to a standstill from time to time, returned to normal after the vehicles involved in the accident were removed.
