WARTAKOTALIVE.COM, JAKARTA — After rejecting Ferdy Sambo’s appeal, the DKI Jakarta High Court (PT) also decided to reject the appeal submitted by Sambo’s wife, Putri Candrawathi, Wednesday (12/4/2023).
PT DKI has strengthened the South Jakarta District Court’s 20-year prison sentence against Putri Candrawathi.
The verdict was read out by a panel of judges consisting of Singgih Budi Prakoso, Ewit Soetriadi, Mulyanto, Abdul Fattah and Tony Pribadi.
In their decision, the panel of judges upheld the decision of the South Jakarta District Court which sentenced Putri Candrawathi to 20 years in prison.
“Strengthening the decision of the South Jakarta District Court dated February 13, 2023, for which the appeal was requested. Third, setting the defendant to remain in detention. Fourth, imposing case costs to the state,” said Singgih.
“This was decided in a meeting of the Jakarta High Court Panel of Judges,” he said.

“So that’s the decision that we have taken, which in essence we uphold the decision of the South Jakarta District Court. We will submit this decision to interested parties,” said Singgih.
Previously, the DKI Jakarta High Court (PT) also upheld the South Jakarta District Court’s decision which sentenced Ferdy Sambo to death.
In a television broadcast, a member judge for the DKI High Court read out the chronology of the incident of the murder of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat at the Duren Tiga Service House, South Jakarta.
“The act of taking the CCTV decoder at Duren Tiga Housing without the permission of the head of RT Prof Seno,” said a member judge at PT DKI.
Then, the Member Judge explained that on July 9, 2022 five people who claimed to be members of the police came to the Duren Tiga Service Home security post, South Jakarta.
Then, the CCTV was handed over to Cuk Putranto and put in the trunk of his car.
“Witness Cuk Putranto, without being provided with a letter of assignment and procedures, put it (CCTV decoder) in the trunk of his car, instead of handing it over (to investigators) to do it as it should,” he explained.

Previously, the Panel of Judges at the South Jakarta District Court sentenced the former Head of Propam Polri Ferdy Sambo to death and 20 years in prison against Putri Candrawathi, as the defendant in the case of premeditated murder of her adjutant Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J, Monday (13/2 /2023).
