What can be more exciting than a colorful and fiery Brazilian carnival in the heat of summer right here by the Baltic Sea! This summer, on the evenings of June 30, August 4 and 19, this unique show with the participation of many musicians, dancers and drummers will visit the coast of Liepāja, Jelgava Post Island and Roja Seaside with a gorgeous Brazilian carnival!

The Brazilian carnival show is a mixture of cultures, sounds, colors and rhythms. The mega-hit of all Latin American parties “Lambada” performed by the group “Kaoma”, the pop group “Mas que nada” by the pop group “Mas que nada”, the all-time hit “Mamãe eu quero” performed by Carmen Miranda back in 1940, as well as music from the theme of the popular Disney cartoon “Real in Rio” is just some of the music that will make visitors’ senses ignite.

Other participants in this Brazilian carnival are the amazing percussion group “Samba de Riga” (June 30 and August 4), playing Afro-Brazilian rhythms such as samba, samba-reggae, maracatu, samba-funk, candomble on authentic Brazilian drums and others. “Samba de Riga” brings the atmosphere and joy of the Brazilian favelas right here in Latvia with the help of its loud, voluminous sound, as well as synchronized movements, recharging the audience’s emotional “batteries”.
And of course, what would a Brazilian carnival be without the gorgeously dressed and fiery Brazilian dancers led by the stunning Vanessa Rufino! The powerful choreography combined with the majestic costumes lends grace and authenticity to the entire performance.
On August 19, Roja will host a special performance with the samba school GRES Macieira De Ouro – Kuldõunapuu, led by the incredible percussionist from Rio de Janeiro, François Arcanjo, which will make Roja’s carnival even more exciting.
The team of the international concert show promises to conjure up a real celebration in the spirit of the famous Rio de Janeiro carnival. Seeing them perform is like taking a trip to a Brazilian carnival.
