Kraulařka Barbora Seemanová won silver at the 200th stand at the European Short Pool Championships. The champion from the long pool on her main track in Kazan was not enough for Marrit Steenbergen from the Netherlands, behind whom she finished fourth in a hundred. In second place, Seemanová took care of the first Czech medal at the “twenty-five” continental championship since 2013, when Simona Kubová shone in Herning, Denmark, under the maiden name Baumrtová.

Seeman held on to the Dutch opponent at the start of the race, but eventually lost to her by 83 hundredths. The Dutch got a quarter of a second below the minute and 53 seconds, while the 21-year-old Czech was 27 hundredths behind her September record from September by 1: 53.58.
