In the study, patients from the first corona wave are followed for a longer period of time and examined for brain damage. The intention is that the results will be used to be able to provide the correct treatments to corona patients in the future.

Corona can have major consequences for the brain, says Merel Heimens Visser, director of the Brain Foundation. Attention and concentration problems are no exception. Other people have problems with memory and plans. Some are also extremely tired. Because of all these complaints, it is no longer possible for some to work.
