Boy Thohir’s ‘paid’ shares, AnterAja Enters the GoTo Ecosystem

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT Adi Sarana Armada Tbk (ASSA) affirms its commitment to transformation into an integrated logistics company. This commitment was conveyed at the same time as ASSA’s subsidiary, PT Tri Adi Bersama (AnterAja) was purchased by Garibaldi Thohir alias Boy Thohir.

In a written statement, ASSA said that it had succeeded in recording performance growth throughout 2021. This was due to the significant growth of its business lines delivery expressAnterAja whose revenue is up 248% annually.

“Since its inception, ASSA’s revenue trend has always been dominated by the rental business, followed by sales of used vehicles until the first quarter of 2021. Then, since the second quarter of 2021, revenue from the logistics business line consisting of ASSA Logistics Services and Anteraja (Delivery Services) has been successful. increased more than the revenue contribution from other business lines,” said ASSA President Director Prodjo Sunarjanto, quoted Thursday (14/4/2022).

Throughout 2021 ASSA achieved revenue of IDR 3 trillion, an increase of 68% on an annual basis. The company’s net profit in the same period reached Rp 142.6 billion, up 64 percent on an annual basis.

AnterAja will be the main contributor to ASSA’s revenue throughout 2021. The company’s contribution to its parent’s revenue reaches 54% or Rp. 2.8 trillion.

“With the existing opportunities and capabilities, we are optimistic that ASSA will continue to grow for the year.”[1]next year, with a growth target of around 30-40% in 2022,” he said.

Currently, ASSA’s ownership in AnterAja is diluted from the previous 55% to 49.5%. This happened after Boy Thohir bought 490,413 new shares of AnterAja worth Rp 70.55 billion. This amount makes Boy Thohir the holder of 10% of AnterAja’s shares.

The inclusion of Boy Thohir as an AnterAja shareholder has attracted attention because this figure is the President Commissioner of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk. (GOTO) which has just been listed on the Indonesian capital market. He is also known as the boss of coal issuer PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO).

As a technology company, GOTO is known to have a large ecosystem which consists of Gojek as a logistics and delivery service provider, Tokopedia (e-commerce), and Goto Financial.

Boy Thohir holds 1,054,287,487 units or 0.09% of the total shares of GOTO. The investment valuation is likely to be worth Rp 402.74 billion.
