Boy Nicco Frausto Survives Shooting in Amarillo, Texas Road Rage Incident | Univision 23 Dallas Ft. Worth KUVN

AMARILLO, Texas.- The anguish ended for the Fraust familyafter 8-year-old Nicco survived a gunshot to the head in a road rage incident in Amarillo.

According to reports from the Amarillo Police, the incident took place on Friday, June 10 at 11:25 pm at the intersection of Cleveland and 10th Avenue streets. Nico he went with his dad Eric Frausto, who was the driver.

Following the incident, Frankie Lee Haigood, 58, who is the suspected of having shot and was booked into the Potter County Jail.

The minor’s father, Eric Frausto, published on Facebook the photographs of his Dodge RAM truck with the bullet impacts which managed to pierce one of the seats and also hit the rear and front windows.

“I thank God that everyone came out alive and breathing. God is good,” Frausto wrote when sharing the photos.

Little Nicco was admitted to surgery and two days later he managed to recover and go home to his parents and siblings.

“Nico is coming home,” Frausto posted on Facebook. “I would like to thank everyone who sent prayers and support for my son and family. We are truly blessed.”

The city of Amarillo shows support for Nicco’s family

After the incident, the community de Amarillo gave care and support so that Nicco’s family could cover the costs of his recovery.

For example, a car wash called for a fundraising on June 25 and a local bar organized this Saturday a tournament to benefit the Frausto family.

“I would like to thank all of Amarillo and the amazing people who sent prayers and support,” the father said.
