The US electric car maker Tesla
plans construction costs of around EUR 1.065 billion for its first factory in Europe. This comes from an updated application for environmental approval, which was published on Thursday.
Construction is expected to continue until March 2021. Production in Grünheide near Berlin, which is scheduled to start in July 2021, is therefore scheduled to run in three shifts, 24 hours a day.
The forecast for the level of noise at the company shows that Tesla assumes 2100 employees per shift. A maximum production of 500,000 vehicles per year is planned in the factory. The number should be ramped up to the maximum as quickly as possible./vr/DP/jha
