Bordeaux and Rennes are relaunching … The summary of the day in Ligue 1

Four matches of the 29th day of L1 were held this Sunday from 3 p.m. They notably Bordeaux and Rennes return to victory.

Bordeaux and Rennes can breathe. After a long empty period, the two teams got back in the direction of the market this Sunday during their respective oppositions against Dijon and Strasbourg. In the other two matches, there was no winner. Lens and Metz, the two sensations of the season, parted with a score of parity, as did Lorient and Nice.

A good Bordeaux

Without a win for seven matches, Bordeaux therefore bounced back by going to correct the red lantern at home (3-1). Faced with Dijon totally overwhelmed, the Girondins did not have too many difficulties to be respected. They even folded the match after half time thanks to a brace from South Korean Hwang. In the second half, Nicolas De Préville strengthened the addition in favor of his own. Moussa Konaté then reduced the mark, but without consequence on the outcome of the game. With this victory, the Aquitains go back to 11th place in the standings.

Jean-Louis Gasset’s men pass in front of OGC Nice, which was unable to get rid of Lorient. The Aiglons however led in the score thanks to a goal from Maolida. But, their advantage was canceled after ten minutes. Yoane Wissa allowed the Hakes to get away with a draw (1-1).

This Sunday afternoon was favorable for Stade Rennais. For his first at Roazhon Park, Bruno Genésio saw his men do the job against RC Strasbourg (1-0). A single achievement was sufficient to the happiness of the Rouge et Noir. Benjamin Bourigeaud, back in the starting XI, freed his team by successfully picking a serve from Martin Terrier.

Lens can blame himself

The last match of this Sunday saw Lens and Metz leave each other as good friends (2-2). In this duel that smelled good of the 90s, we were able to witness a nice showdown, with two playful teams looking forward. At the final whistle, the regrets were especially on the artesian side because the Sang et Or led to the score twice thanks to the goals signed Jonathan Clauss and Yannick Cahuzac. But, the Lorraine retorted them through Vagner (on penalty) and Thomas Delaine. A few moments from the end, the RCL failed to win the setting following a recovery from the head of Cahuzac, who failed on the bar.
