Booster Dose of Covid-19 Vaccine Including Ómicron Now Available in Various Vaccination Posts in Montevideo

Since February, the booster dose of the covid-19 vaccine began to be vaccinated in different parts of the department.

This is a dose of Ómicron that will be supplied to the adult population, people over 50 years of age, people with medium and high-risk comorbidities for severe covid-19, pregnant women (regardless of their gestational age and number of previous doses) and situations considered within the category of moderate-severe immunosuppression. Health personnel in direct assistance are also included (according to the corresponding age group or risk group).

People under 50 years of age who need to be inoculated must present a medical indication with clinical data (the vaccinator must send an email to the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) and the original to the Calmette laboratory).

These doses can be administered with other vaccines in the regular schedule (SRP, DT, dpaT), inoculating the dose of Ómicron in a different arm.
