Femke Bol has come out of the corona break. During competitions at Papendal, the first in the Netherlands since the corona crisis, she ran a Dutch record in the 400 meter hurdles.
The Dutch record has been held since 1998 by Ester Goossens, who set a time of 54.62 22 years ago. The 20-year-old Bol crossed the finish line after 54.47 seconds, almost a second faster than her personal best. All conditions for a Dutch record have been met (electronic timekeeping and a jury and competition officials were present), so that the time has been validated.
