Member Bojonegoro Regency DPRD from the Golkar Party faction, R (55), was found dead on Saturday (16/4). Gayam Police Chief AKP Bambang Trenggani confirmed and said the council member was found dead on the edge of Bengawan Solo.
“It is estimated that at around 02.30 WIB this morning, the victim’s wife wanted to wake up for sahur, how come she was not at home,” said Gayam Police Chief AKP Bambang Trenggani as reported detik.comSaturday (16/4).
“Continue to ask relatives for help and find one of the nephews hanging from a jackfruit tree,” he said.
The location of R’s death is said to be about 300 meters from his house in Gayam District Village.
“After we received the report, we immediately secured the crime scene, put up a police line to evacuate the victims,” he said.
To date, police are still gathering evidence to find out the motive behind R’s death.
Meanwhile, R was also confirmed as a member of the DPRD from the Golkar Party faction. The chairman of the DPD Golkar, Bojonegoro Mitroatin, confirmed this and asked the residents to forgive R.
“Yes, it is true, as was widely reported when he died. This is my trip to the funeral home. Hopefully, his sins and mistakes will be forgiven,” said Mitroatin.
