Frontman of the Indonesian Guard Movement (GJI) Bodie Djarot claims not to order its masses to burn the FPI High Priest poster Rizieq Shihab when holding an action commemorating the July 27 incident in front of the MPR / DPR Complex, Jakarta, Monday (27/7).
He also claimed that he could not stop the Rizieq poster from being burned because the crowd was already filled with “anger”.

Furthermore, Boedi admitted that the poster with Rizieq’s face was deliberately brought by the masses as a demonstration of the action. In addition to having Rizieq’s face drawn, the poster also reads “It’s Time for the People to Oppose the Khilafah” and “Guard the Pancasila and the Unitary Republic of Indonesia”.
Boedi himself has ordered the mass action to put the banner on the fence of the MPR / DPR Complex.
“So whoever makes it, please put it above, on the fence of the DPR which is guarded by the police. It means that if guarded by the police it is safe, it cannot be taken by anyone,” said Boedi.
After some time the action went on, Boedi said he was surprised that the poster had been removed from the fence of the MPR / DPR Complex. The poster has also been placed by the masses under the asphalt.

After that, Boedi said, there was an arson attempt and the trampling of Rizieq’s poster by the mass of action.

Boedi said that it was natural for the masses to be angry with Rizieq Shihab. He then offended Rizieq and even got angry and insulted the first President of the Republic of Indonesia Sukarno and the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurahman Wahid or Gus Dur.
“Laah, when Rizieq was angry, he could observe Pancasila. So who isn’t hurt? Well, yesterday’s events there was nothing that I could reduce. If there is a risk, then I’ll face it,” said Boedi.

Budie said Rizieq had betrayed the country by not accepting Joko Widodo’s victory at the presidential election. Boedi also called for the rejection of Rizieq’s return.

The crowd also threw Rizieq’s posters with dirt. Then they tried to tear and burn it. But until the video ends, the fire never lights.
