The body found yesterday in a canal in Groningen is that of a 25-year-old Groningen resident who had been missing since Saturday. That’s what the police do known. Nothing is known about the cause of death, but the police have no indications of foul play.

The man left a company party in the Kattenhage on Friday night. He was last seen around 1:30 am in the vicinity of the UMCG hospital. The police assumed that the man had gone towards the area of the Van Starkenborgh Canal.
