The Amsterdam Brasserie De Joffers has to close its place for a fortnight because six customers were eating poffertjes under the parasol on a rainy day. According to the owner, that is also another the death blow for her career. Is it going well there, isn’t it ?!
On 21 November, the staff had six people eat their poffertjes under the parasol on the terrace. At that moment, people from the municipality came by and took pictures. “Last Thursday we received an email that there was a request to close our business because of this violation,” says the disappointed owner.
What a filthy state of affairs this is. Couldn’t they have just told them to sit apart a bit? Really, what a sad people say …
A few thousand people out in the open to demonstrate against racism is perfectly fine. Then mayor Halsema turns a blind eye and we pretend the virus will miss a day. But when there are six guests eating under the roof while it rains? No, then we really need to intervene. Imagine infecting others right away!
This is pure terror and abuse of power by the municipality of Amsterdam. And totally unreliable with that stunt by Halsema who did not want to intervene when the demonstration got out of hand. Chances are that with her cowardly attitude she has helped the spread of the virus a lot.
I hope they generously compensate the owners of that business. But I think there are almost only cowardly hares in that municipality, so that probably won’t be there either.
