A network of European astronomers has asked the public for its help to find out the origins of spacecraft spotted in space thanks to radio telescopes, which may be associated with huge and mysterious black holes in the midst of galaxies.
The new participatory scientific program is called “Lovar – Galaxy Galaxy Radio”, and it “gives anyone with a computer the ability to help the scientific community” in interpreting the data collected through the Lovar telescope through a group of antennas spread across Europe. What came in a statement issued by the “Paris – BCL” Observatory, which runs the French part of the network.
The “Louvre”, which monitors radio waves in space, is working to develop a comprehensive picture of it, which does not resemble the pictures taken by the optical telescope, as stars and galaxies cannot be seen directly, but rather anonymous forms.
“We observe that radio waves originate from charged particles produced by violent physical phenomena, especially black holes,” astrophysicist Cyril Tass said.
Thus, when the black hole is large and active, only the particles it produces will appear through the radio telescope, which are gases that it throws away from the galaxy.
Scientists now need to identify black holes and know their “host galaxy”, as an introduction to drawing a scenario that formed millions or even billions of years ago, to understand “the reasons for the existence of black holes in the midst of all galaxies,” according to the astrophysicist.
Hence the idea of launching a science-sharing website, as Lovére produces massive amounts of data that 200 astronomers cannot explain alone.
By using a video tutorial, each participant can match the radio images with the visual images, and thus find the galaxy hosting the black hole … or the black hole scenario can be excluded especially that the radio particles can also result from star burst operations.
