This weekend marks the end of the school holidays. Even if the majority of holidaymakers have already returned to prepare for the start of the school year, traffic flows will still be significant on the main transit routes for this last weekend in August and congestion is expected.
The traffic will be very busy in the direction of the returns. This Saturday is classified red at the national level, according to Bison Futé, in particular on the main axes of the south-east of the country (A7 and A9 highways).
The roads will still be loaded during this last weekend of August, in the direction of the returns. If you plan to hit the road at this time, be extra careful! #Smart one https://t.co/70MQTR3S62 pic.twitter.com/3KGEQh4snP

Unsurprisingly, traffic jams are to be expected on the A7 and A9 between Perpignan, Orange and Lyon, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The A62 in the Toulouse / Agen direction will be loaded from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Some will wait until the last day to return, but the traffic will remain heavy. Sunday August 30 is classified orange at the national level. In Ile-de-France, it is advisable to access the A10 toll and the A6 toll before 11 a.m., and avoid the A10 motorway between Saintes and Poitiers, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Finally, it will still be tough on the A7, between Orange and Lyon and between Marseille and Salon-de-Provence, from 9 am to 9 pm.
