Biden’s campaign ridiculed for being in ‘Animal Crossing’ compared to Hillary’s ‘Pokémon Go to the polls’ line

Biden’s campaign was the butt of the joke Tuesday after he revealed his latest effort to reach young voters.

The edge reported that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris they’re trying to make their mark on virtual territory in the popular Nintendo Switch video game “Animal Crossing: New Horizons.”

In the game, players can download campaign posters to post on their properties. Signs include the classic “Biden Harris” and “Team Joe” as well as the “Joe” Pride logo.

A Biden campaign manager told The Verge: “Animal Crossing is a dynamic, diverse and powerful platform that unites communities around the world. It is an excellent opportunity for our campaign to engage and connect Biden-Harris supporters as they build and decorate their islands. “

“As we enter the campaign home stretch in November, this is a way to find creative and innovative new ways to find voters where they are and rally our supporters,” said Christian Tom, director of digital partnerships for the Biden campaign.

While it’s unclear how popular this new campaign effort is among “Animal Crossing” players, critics scoffed at the Democratic ticket.
