Biden Appoints Ron Klain to be White House Chief of Staff

President-elect of the United States Joe Biden officially appointed Ron klain as a White House staff coconut. Claims is Biden’s longtime aide who has been one of the campaign’s top advisers.

“Ron has been very valuable to me over the years we have worked together,” Biden said in a statement regarding Klain’s appointment on Wednesday (11/11).

“His deep and varied experience and capacity to work with people across the political spectrum is exactly what I need as a White House chief of staff as we face this moment of crisis and reunite our country,” Biden was quoted as saying. AFP.


Klain himself is not new to Biden. He was the chief of staff when Biden served as vice president to accompany Barack Obama.

The 59-year-old man previously served as chief of staff to vice president of Al Gore and Attorney General Janet Reno.

Quoting CNN, under Obama’s leadership in 2014 Klain was appointed as the White House ebola response coordinator. In 2000, he became general advisor to Gore’s vote counting committee. He also advises debate preparation for Biden, Obama, Bill Clinton, Gore, John Kerry and Hillary Clinton.

Klain graduated from Harvard Law School in 1987. He began his career as an editor at the Harvard Law Review and worked as a legal clerk at the Byron R. White Supreme Court. Klain was appointed by Biden as chief advisor to the Senate Judiciary Committee from 1989 to 1992.

After years of partnering at Washington law firms and as general counsel at venture capital firms, Klain was appointed by Biden in 2008 to become its chief of staff.

Klain became the first figure revealed by Biden to occupy a strategic position in his government. Biden is expected to reveal the names of those who will fill his cabinet in the next few days and weeks.

Every candidate nominated in Biden’s cabinet needs to be confirmed by the US Senate, which is currently a majority Republican.

The Biden-Kamala Harris Cabinet will be filled by 15 executive ministers covering the fields of agriculture, trade, defense, education, energy, health and human services, domestic security, housing and urban development, domestic affairs, justice, labor, states, transportation. , treasury, and veteran affairs.
