BGH rejects appeal against judgment “Freie Kameradschaft Dresden”
Dresden, Karlsruhe (epd). The 2020 judgment of the Dresden Regional Court against members of the right-wing extremist “Freien Kameradschaft Dresden (FKD)” is final. The Federal Court of Justice (BGH) had rejected the appeals of six members of the group, the Federal Court announced on Thursday in Karlsruhe.
On January 17, 2020, after almost two and a half years of proceedings, the Dresden Regional Court sentenced six defendants to prison terms of between two years and ten months and up to six years for membership in a criminal organization and other offenses (3 KLs 373 Js 66/17). According to the Federal Court of Justice, the defendants had each raised a substantive complaint with their appeals, and five of them had also objected to the procedure.
The Federal Court of Justice had already decided on revisions by other members of this group in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
