The South African Sundowns Club announced the injury of team defender Musa Libossa during the team’s Bloemfontein Celtic match, which was fought Wednesday in the South African League.
“Moussa Libossa is being examined by the team’s medical device, and we will release updates about the injury at a later time,” Sundowns said in a tweet via his official Twitter account, after winning the match 2-1.
The Sundowns will play one game before confronting Al-Ahly, and it will be February 23 this year in the South African Cup, but Moussa Libossa is not allowed to participate because of the accumulation of yellow cards after he got a deliberate card today.
Libusa left the stadium in the 90th + 6 minute of its events in the team’s third substitution.
Al-Ahly will play against Sundowns in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-final on February 29 in Cairo.
