Beyoncé awarded the “humanitarian prize” at the BET Awards, her committed speech

Your voices are heard and you prove to our ancestors that their struggles were not in vain. Now we have one more thing to do to honor our true power and that is to vote. ” It then encourages action to destroy the system which it describes as “racist and unequal”. “We have to vote as if our lives depended on it, because it is. Be the change you want to see, ”she concluded before thanking her audience deeply.

“Our voices have power”

The interpreter of “Halo” also shared on Instagram a letter written by his mother, Tina Knowles, proposing a bill to senators in the country to guarantee everyone’s vote during this election period. While recalling the tragedies that have taken place in recent times, she partners with the foundation “Mothers of the Movement” which brings together certain women whose African-American children have been killed by the police.

“But even now, when we feel despair and exhaustion, we remember an essential truth: our voices have power,” wrote the American fashion designer. Beyoncé, Kerry Washington, Michelle Williams and many others signed the letter. “This bill would provide funds to protect our vote during the electoral cycle,” said Beyoncé.
