Gresik, East Java- To be aware of the threat of disease outbreaks in the rainy season, a number of Bhabinkamtibmas officers in the Manyar Gresik area were deployed to villages to remind residents of the dangers of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).
Manyar Police Chief AKP Windu Priyo Prayitno, stated that the spread of dengue was dominated in densely populated areas. Poor drainage channels have become a favorite place for the development of the Aedes aegypti mosquito that causes dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF).
To be aware of this, his party deliberately deployed Bhabinkamtibmas to urge the public to continue to maintain a clean environment.
“When we enter the rainy season like now, let’s clean our environment from mosquito larvae to avoid the potential for dengue fever,” he added.
In order for the activity to run optimally, his party also coordinates with the Puskesmas in the Manyar District, in this case Bhabinkamtibmas with the village midwife, to educate the 6 M to the community.
