Video Bahar bin Smith was lecturing at an event attended by his congregation after being released from prison viral in social media.
Bahar is seen wearing a koko shirt with a white cap in the video. He was also accompanied by the former chairman of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Shabri Lubis who sat in the seat next to him.
In his talk, Bahar alluded to the parties who betrayed the former FPI leader, Rizieq Shihab. With a high -pitched and hoarse voice, He made sure to fight the party that betrayed Rizieq regardless of his background.
“That’s why I say you people, I’m not talking about the government. You are habaib, kiai, scholars, whoever you are, want you to be a guardian’s son, want you to be a cleric’s son. If you betray Habib Rizieq, I will kill you one by one,” said Bahar while pointing in the video.
Suddenly, the participants who attended the event simultaneously shouted the word takbir. “Allahuakbar”.
Bahar then asked where the ulama and kiai had gone when Rizieq Shihab was involved in a case and currently imprisoned. In fact, Bahar assessed that the scholars and kiai had invited Rizieq Shihab to return to Indonesia from Saudi Arabia.
It is known, Rizieq returned to Indonesia from Saudi in November 2020. Now, Rizieq is languishing in prison after being entangled in a case of spreading false news about a corona virus swab test at Ummi Hospital, Bogor.
“If it’s the saints, don’t be the same. Where are the people? If it’s the scholars, don’t be the same. Barbaric. Where are the people? All of you invited Habib Rizieq. In Mecca, his life is good, calm. You invited him. came to the Homeland. When he was in prison, where did you go? ” Bahar said in a high tone again.
Bahar also asked the ulama and kiai not to defend when six Rizieq bodyguards were killed on the KM 50 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road in December 2020. He accuses that at this time they are sluggish and side with the wrongdoers. He himself did not specify who the wrongdoer he accused was.
“When he was imprisoned, you were weak, you became soft. To the wrongdoers. I will look for you one by one. I will kill you, whatever you are, I will kill and destroy you,” he said.
Separately, Bahar bin Smith’s lawyer, Ichwan Tuankotta said the viral lecture video was taken when Bahar attended the Prophet Muhammad SAW’s Birthday at Kranji Bekasi, West Java.
“That was the lecture last Thursday night. Three days after he was released,” said Ichwan confirming the video.
