Berlin. Since Saturday, two civilian officers of the Berlin police have been investigated, among other things, on suspicion of threatening them with weapons and insulting them. Two men, aged 20 and 23, had previously reported to a police station and said they had been insulted by two men and then checked at gunpoint.
The two men said they were police officers. According to the two complainants, they appeared drunk. According to reports, the two officers actually had an alcohol level of at least 1.1 per mille in their blood.
According to the police report on Saturday, immediate investigations led to the identification of two civilian police forces, who were found at their office a little later. A spokeswoman for the authority confirmed that the two were on duty.

According to the GdP, the alcohol level “goes beyond the tactical beer”
“These are serious allegations that must be investigated with the necessary transparency,” says Benjamin Jendro, spokesman for the Berlin Police Union (GdP) on the incident. “If they are confirmed, clear consequences must follow.”
The alcohol level also goes “far beyond the tactical beer” – i.e. the amount of alcohol that officers are allowed to drink in covert operations in order not to attract attention. There is no place for such behavior and it goes against the values that the police stand for.
The two suspicious officers are said to belong to patrol service K of Directorate 4 (South). According to the police, they did not want to comment on the allegations. They had their breath alcohol tested before their blood was drawn. The investigations were carried out by the specialist commissariat responsible for official offences.
