The Sunday march was called the March of Honor. As every Sunday, columns of protesters will move from residential neighborhoods to the city center. There is a concentration of militia and military forces in Minsk. There are first detentions, including detentions of journalists. Interfax cables mention 20 detained journalists, incl. Russian TASS. Vyachorka also informs about the use of roaring grenades and tear gas by the police.

It is not known what exactly was the content of the conversation. This was quite an unexpected event, interpreted by some commentators as a signal from Alyaksandr Lukashenka that he allowed the possibility of negotiating with the opposition.
