Belarusian opposition leader: Lukashenko’s dictatorship crimes to be investigated – Abroad – News

“The crimes of Lukashenko’s dictatorship must be investigated,” Cihanouska told the Czech Senate on Wednesday, June 9.

Cihanouska arrived in the Czech Republic as part of a world tour, during which she meets with politicians and Belarusians in exile in an effort to increase support for the Belarusian opposition.

During his visit to Prague on Monday, the President of the Czech Senate, Milos Vistrchil Cihanousku, presented himself as the “elected president of Belarus”.

Cihanouska stressed that the only way out of the crisis in Belarus is free elections under the supervision of the international community. She also reiterated her condemnation of the Minsk regime’s arrest of opposition journalist Roman Protasevich two weeks ago in Minsk, when Belarusian authorities had forced a Ryanair plane to land there.

During his four-day visit to the Czech Republic, Cihanouska met with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrei Babisz, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jakub Kulhānek and President Milos Zeman.

Zeman wished her “victory in the fight against Europe’s last dictator”.
