Josefa Guadalupe Quintero Gutiérrez went with the lawyer in order to resort to legal means to force the authorities to carry out the vaccination.
“It was last Wednesday when we received the response from the district judge and a suspension of plans was granted in order for the Ministry of Health to grant the minor the vaccine.”
“It is appropriate since the State has the obligation to enforce, not only the right to life and health of any citizen, but also becomes more relevant for the best interests of the minor, and it is the State’s obligation to preserve that right ; So, that’s why the legal route is used and it is appropriate, ”said the lawyer Grecia Mendívil.
He stated that in Baja California Sur “many minors have been hospitalized, they have even suffered serious health consequences, there is even talk of cases where they die.”
