The second main round of the DFB Cup is on the program on December 22nd and 23rd. The games were drawn on Sunday.
Defending champion and record winner Bayern Munich travels to the second division of the DFB Cup for the second division team Holstein Kiel.
There will also be three Bundesliga duels at the games on December 22nd and 23rd: FC Augsburg will meet RB Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart will play against SC Freiburg, Bayer Leverkusen will host Eintracht Frankfurt.
Runner-up Borussia Dortmund has to play at second division promoted Eintracht Braunschweig, BVB arch rival Schalke 04 will meet a representative from the regional league again after their work victory in the first round against 1.FC Schweinfurt, the lot gave the miners an away game at SSV Ulm.
A traditional northern duel takes place in the game Hannover 96 against Werder Bremen. Fourth division Rot-Weiss Essen welcomes Bundesliga relegated Fortuna Düsseldorf. The final is to take place in Berlin on May 13th.
