The Wild won against the Anaheim Ducks 7-3 (3-1, 0-0, 4-2) on Friday evening (01/14/2022/local time). Sturm assisted in Kevin Fiala’s 1-0 lead in the first period, it was the sixth assist of the season for the 26-year-old from Augsburg.
Minnesota decided the game with three goals in the first two minutes of the final period as they temporarily extended their lead to 6-1. Matt Boldy and Mats Zuccarello even scored four seconds apart.
It was the third win in a row for the Wild. They are currently in fourth place in the Central Division and have played fewer games than the competition because of the many games in the NHL that were postponed due to the corona pandemic.
Panthers also dispatch Dallas
The best team in the league is currently the Florida Panthers, who beat the Dallas Stars 7-1 in another Friday game. The Colorado Avalanche scored their 13th home win in a row, beating the Arizona Coyotes 4-3 after a penalty shootout.
