Battle Royale is intended to connect coming series parts as the central pillar

Battle Royale will play a central role in the future of Call of Duty – Infinity Ward’s narrative director Taylor Kurosaki has that GamerGen (via pcgamer.com) explained. The Warzone mode should apparently serve as a kind of constant link between the various “sub-brands” in the future. Kurosaki explains:

“Call of Duty has been on a regular schedule for many years, and Warzone has given us rethinking the best way to publish and incorporate new content. Call of Duty is a genre of its own, and there are different branches under it in the call-of-duty tree, but they’re all connected in some way. Warzone will be the continuous line that connects all the different sub-franchises of Call of Duty. It will be really cool to watch them move all the different sub-franchises into and out of focus, but Warzone will be one constant. “

Incidentally, Raven Software’s creative director Amos Hodge also mentioned in an interview that “at some point” the “Duos” mode should also come into the main mode in Battle Royle mode (so far it is only available in “Plunder”).
