AIRWAY COMPLAINTS Patients with the new coronavirus have a fever and respiratory complaints. Think of coughing or shortness of breath. The disease is transmitted from person to person. It is currently believed that one sick person can infect two others on average. The sicker a person is, the more he spreads the virus.

People who have a fever and respiratory symptoms of more than 38 degrees and who have also recently had contact with a patient with the coronavirus or who have been in a country with many infections for the past two weeks are advised to contact their GP by telephone. You should not go to the doctor because of the risk of infection.

Risk countries are currently mainly China, South Korea, Iran and Northern Italy. If you are in the risk group, but do not yet have a fever, stay at home and avoid contact with others as much as possible. As soon as a cold or an increase turns into a fever, call your doctor.
